Experience the Japanese Art of Forest Bathing

"It was an incredible, one-of-a-kind sensory experience.
I found it to be both uplifting and grounding... just overall very restorative and peaceful.
It has changed my entire outlook on experiencing nature.
I highly recommend reserving a forest bathing guide through
Gaige House."

What is Shinrin-Yoku?

Popularized in Japan in the 1980s, shinrin-yoku, or “forest bathing,” is the practice of getting back to nature and taking in the atmosphere of the forest. In addition to the sense of calm and restoration that comes from a trip into the forest, shinrin-yoku has been proven to boost the immune system, reduce blood pressure and stress, as well as improve mood.

Practice with Us

We are passionate about the benefits of Shinrin-Yoku or Forest Bathing and encourage the practice in the forests surrounding the hotel and in the greater Sonoma Valley.
