Hotel Policies

Check-In Time, Check-Out Time, and Late Arrivals

  • Check-in time is after 3:00 pm
  • If you plan to arrive before 3:00 pm, you may park in our parking lot. We will be more than happy to store your luggage, and tell you about our favorite places to have lunch or to visit
  • If you plan to arrive after 8:00 pm, please call us at 707-935-0237 so that we may coordinate your check-in with our overnight manager
  • Check-out time is 11:00 am

Cancellation Policy

NEW Peace of Mind Flex Cancellation Policy
Enjoy Peace of Mind with 72-Hour Flex Cancellation

In light of current events, our new Peace of Mind 72-hour Flex Cancellation Policy allows you to book with confidence and enjoy no cancellation fees or upfront charges on reservations through April 1, 2021 (excluding 'Stay One Night, Receive Your Second Night Free' offer which retains regular cancellation policy). If your plans change, simply call us at least 72-hours in advance of arrival and we will cancel your reservation completely free of charge. Additionally, we do not require payment at thetime of booking- we simply ask for a credit card number to keep on file. Guests canceling within 72-hours of arrival will be charged for a one-night stay, plus tax.  

For Reservations after April 1, 2021

  • If you cancel your reservation seven days or more prior to your arrival date, your initial deposit will be refunded less a $25 processing fee
  • If you cancel your reservation within seven days of your arrival date, or fail to cancel your reservation and fail to arrive, you will forfeit the deposit and be charged for all nights included in your original reservation

A deposit of one night's room rate, plus tax and service charge, is required to secure a reservation
All room rates are subject to a 14.195% local state tax plus a $25 resort fee per evening
Our services include: gourmet daily breakfast for two, including a hot entrée and fresh pastries; guest passes to Parkpoint Health Club Sonoma (up to two passes per room per night); WiFi access; bottled water and soft drinks; evening cordial bar with premium sake, port, and sherry; freshly baked cookies each afternoon, in-room coffee, on-site parking, concierge assistance, and nightly Magic Hour wine and cheese tasting
Please notify the hotel prior to arriving if you intend to pay for your stay with a gift certificate
Holidays, special events, and group bookings have separate deposit and cancellation policies; please review our cancellation policy and contact the hotel directly for details

Group Reservations: Three or more rooms, either booked together or individually by parties traveling together, constitute a group reservation. Group reservations may require payment at the time of booking and a 30-to-60-day cancellation policy. An additional group booking fee may be required. These policies supersede policies shown on an individually booked reservation. If you, or the parties you are travelling with, reserve three or more rooms, you will be contacted and a contract will be required.

Holiday or Special Event Periods: Reservations during special event or holiday periods are subject to a longer cancellation policy, which will be stated in the confirmation notes. Should you not cancel your reservation within the specified timeframe, you will be charged for all nights of your original reservation. Additionally, a minimum night stay may be required, and early departures will be charged for the original reservation.

Extended Stays & Early Departure Policy

  • Reservations for seven days or more are subject to pre-payment of the entire amount at the time of reservation
  • A 14-day cancellation policy applies on extended stays
  • For all reservations cancelled 14 days or more before the date of arrival, the deposit will be refunded less a $25 processing fee
  • Cancellations within 14 days of arrival, will forfeit 50% of the entire amount of the stay, plus tax
  • Once checked-in, early departures are charged for the entire length of the original reservation

Occupancy & Tourism Tax

Transient occupancy tax and a tourism tax is charged on the room rate and resort fee

Reservations Made Through Online Third-Party Agencies Such As

  • We highly recommend that you reserve directly with the inn to receive the best rate, however you may use third-party agents such as
  • Should you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so through their website
  • If we need to contact you about important information regarding your reservation, we will be unable to do so as only the online travel agent has your contact information

Guest Identification Required

Guests are required to present a valid identification at check-in that matches the name on the reservation as well as the credit card used to pay for the guestroom

Smoke-Free Inns

  • All Four Sisters Inns are 100% smoke-free
  • If smoking occurs, there will be a $200 cleaning fee per night added to your folio

Dog Policy

  • Although we love pets, we do not allow dogs on property or in any guestrooms at Gaige House + Ryokan
  • If a dog is admitted to a guestroom, a $250 deep cleaning fee will be added to your folio
  • A service animal, as acknowledged by the American with Disabilities Act and the FEHA, is welcome to accompany their owner while staying at the inn at no additional charge

Additional Guests

  • Room rates are based on single or double occupancy. If there is a third guest (over the age of five) staying in the room, there will be a $25 extra person nightly charge
  • Many of our rooms cannot accommodate more than two guests
  • If you should need a futon or rollaway, please contact us immediately as we have a limited number of these available. We will also confirm that the room you selected can accommodate an additional guest

Children at Gaige House

  • Gaige House is designed to provide a quiet and restful retreat for guests seeking relaxation and privacy
  • In order to most fully enjoy your vacation, please speak to the innkeeper about which guestroom would be best should you be traveling with a child

  • There is an accessible dining table both inside and on the Moon Deck
  • There is an accessible parking space located adjacent to the fully accessible guestroom
